The Denver Broncos have been bad for a while, as we all know. But the biggest area they haven't been good at is no doubt the offensive line. Since the Super Bowl they have never had a top-five offensive line, and I'm not sure they have ever had a top-10 line either.

That has been the story of this team for the last seven years now, and last year may have been the worst. They allowed 63 sacks, the most in the league, and allowed Russell Wilson to be sacked 55 times, which is the most times a starting quarterback has ever been sacked in Broncos history.

There is one position in particular that didn't get addressed in the draft that maybe should have been on the offensive line. The guard position is fine, as Quinn Meinerz is a fine player. But he struggled with and played through injuries last year, so there needs to be at least a bit of depth. There isn't at right guard.

They need depth and they didn't get any in the draft. They could have used one of their five picks to get a guard and they didn't and some fans think they should have. While that may be a potential problem, they can still fix it.

After the first wave of UDFAs, the Broncos have 83 players on their roster out of a possible 90. Now, that could mean a few things: They could sign some UDFAs at the position and try that out for depth. Who knows, maybe they could strike gold, as they have done a few times with UDFAs like linebacker Alex Singleton.

Or, as they have $4 million left in cap space, they could sign some lower-level free agents. Now, they don't have a ton of cap space, but they have enough to get a guy who has played in the league for a while, but just didn't do very well. This option is harder though because of the limited space.

There is a third option too, but I'm not so sure how confident they would be to do it. They drafted Alex Forsyth, a center from Oregon, in the 2023 draft in the seventh round. Now, Forsyth never played guard in college and actually played every snap at center. But, who knows, maybe he could slide into a spot. It would be something to watch for.

The Broncos still have ways to fix a potentially big issue, so don't panic yet.
