The Buffalo Bills front office did all they could through the NFL draft to help Josh Allen.
Whether trading up or down, most of their capital was spent focusing on their franchise quarterback. In all, with their six total selections, Brandon Beane and the front office spent four of those picks on the offensive side of the football.
Bills Mafia was divided with some of the selections and loved others. What appeared to be one of the safer and more celebrated options was the team's decision in the second round to bring in Florida G O'Cyrus Torrence.
Former quarterback turned analyst, Robert Griffin III, heaped praise at Brandon Beane and the Buffalo Bills over their selection of O'Cyrus Torrence. Specifically, RG3 called out Josh Allen and how the franchise quarterback should be feeling over the decision.
Griffin talked about how Torrence is a "moving machine" that allowed zero sacks in his college career over 46 starts at both Louisiana and Florida. That, and Torrence was penalty free all of last season. A one-man wrecking crew that should give Josh Allen some much-needed protection.
A To Z Sports highlighted what Torrence brought to the table with their analysis of the Bills' draft pick.
The 1st Team All-SEC Offensive lineman transferred to Florida from Louisiana in 2022 and dominated. Specifically, Torrence had allowed 0 sacks in his college career across 46 starts and could immediately walk on and start. A huge win for the organization as they got one of the best IOL in the entire draft in the second round.
Josh Allen has got to be happy with what the organization did over the past few days. In recent weeks, both the front office and Josh Allen himself have discussed how he needs to change his play in order to have long-term success. It appears these moves will help do just that.
