In drafting Illinois running back Chase Brown, the Cincinnati Bengals did more than just add an ideal complement to Joe Mixon.

Brown is the identical twin brother of Sydney Brown, a safety who played alongside Chase at Illinois. Sydney was drafted in the third round by the Philadelphia Eagles, two rounds before Chase got the call from the Bengals.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time two twins were taken in the same NFL Draft. The Athletic's Jay Morrison pointed out that the last time it happened was over 25 years ago, when Tiki and Ronde Barber went in the second and fifth round, respectively, in the 1997 draft.

It's not every year two brothers are legitimate draftable players enter the NFL, let alone identical twins. Sydney was a projected Day 2 pick, while Chase was expected go off the board between rounds four and five. Both got to watch their collective dream come true.

The story of Chase and Sydney is really fascinating and heartwarming. As twins of a single mom, their lives were hard growing up in London, Ontario. When they were 16, they moved down to Florida together to live with host parents and attended St. Stephen's Episcopal School near Tampa. They each earned scholarships to play college football, and were obviously both drafted this past weekend.
