The Tennessee Vols dropped their second straight series this past weekend, losing two out of three to the Florida Gators. 

Tennessee salvaged the weekend series with a 14-2 win over the Gators on Saturday. 

The Vols are 22-10 on the season and 5-7 in conference play. 

After spending most of the 2022 season ranked No. 1, Tennessee is just trying to stick around in the top 20 so far this season. 

The latest top 25 rankings from D1 Baseball have the Vols at No. 16 after losing two of three to Florida. 

Tennessee was previously ranked No. 11.

The Vols have played a difficult schedule the last couple of weeks. 

And things won't be getting any easier in the coming weeks. 

After playing LSU and Florida in consecutive weekends, the Vols will face Arkansas on the road this upcoming weekend before hosting Vanderbilt the following weekend. 

That will be four straight weekend series against top 10 teams. 

Tennessee's record might not be as pretty as it was last season, but this team has talent and they'll be battled tested once postseason play begins. 

The regular season hasn't gone smoothly for the Vols so far, but all of their goals are still very achievable this season.
