The 2023 NFL Draft is just over 24 hours away from kicking off. The New York Giants are an intriguing team to watch throughout the process. They need to attack their needs, while also considering value at the time of their selections.

In the latest mock draft from Pro Football Focus, the Giants did exactly that in the first three rounds.

The Giants had a fantastic blend of value and need in their first three selections of this mock. New York address CB, WR, and LB with those picks. You could argue that those three positions are their biggest voids on the roster right now.

28. NEW YORK GIANTS (VIA CIN): CB EMMANUEL FORBES, MISSISSIPPI STATE

The Giants trade back, add a fifth-round pick to the mix and still get to select the premier ballhawk cornerback in this draft class. Forbes was the SEC's top-graded cornerback last season and is an ideal scheme fit for defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. — PFF

In round one, the Giants grab a top-flight CB with proven production from his time in the SEC. Plus, they secured him after trading back and picking up an extra day three pick from the Bengals. Forbes would step in as a starter immediately on the Giants defense.

57. NEW YORK GIANTS: WR JALIN HYATT, TENNESSEE

The Biletnikoff Award winner recorded more deep receiving yards than any other receiver in the FBS in 2022. His game-changing speed is unmatched in this draft class. — PFF

Hyatt has flaws to his game, but this is solid value in this draft class. His upside as a downfield threat is exciting, and he adds a profile that the current WR room in New York lacks right now. He, alongside Darren Waller and Parris Campbell, would be good additions for Daniel Jones' offense.

78. NEW YORK GIANTS (VIA GB): LB TRENTON SIMPSON, CLEMSON

The Giants trade up to get arguably the best linebacker in the draft to pair with Bobby Okereke. Simpson brings exceptional athleticism and versatility, with career snap alignment rates of 26% from the slot, 46% from the box and 26% from the defensive line.  — PFF

The Giants add one of the top three linebackers in the class in the third round. That's value. Not to mention, Simpson is an extremely physically gifted LB prospect that would slot in to play meaningful snaps immediately for the Giants. He'd be an ideal R3 selection for New York in any scenario.
