One of the best players on the Chiefs' 2022 Super Bowl-winning team will be re-joining them for the 2023 season.

On Tuesday it was reported that the Kansas City Chiefs would be bringing back All-Pro punter Tommy Townsend, who was one of the best in the league last year at what he does.

Townsend is signing his restricted free agent tender the team placed on him back in March, meaning he will be back with the team in 2023. One of the worst things to go through as a team is having bad special teams with a bad kicker and punter.

The Chiefs have both that are pretty good. Luckily they have never really struggled with those issues in the Patrick Mahomes era. They did have some issues this last season, but they were an anomaly. It's good to have Townsend back.
