The Kansas City Chiefs need one of these guys on their team, but this may be the first time anyone has put this player in the first round.

This time of year everyone comes out with their mock drafts to see if they can make an educated guess on who will get drafted where. The Chiefs' situation is a little harder to guess because they pick in the back of the first round, and you don't really know what they are focusing on.

The Chiefs need receivers, a pass rush from the inside an outside, cornerback depth, and a right tackle. So, it can be hard to guess who exactly they will pick. In this recent case by a CBS Sports analyst, he went a different route and chose a player I don't know if anyone has yet for the Chiefs' first selection.

Nathaniel Dell, WR, Houston Yes, I love this kid. He's small, but he can fly. The Chiefs can add his speed and his great route-running ability to their offense and make Patrick Mahomes a happy man.

The Chiefs need receivers, yes, but this is a guy who is projected to go late second round in a lot of mocks and on a lot of big boards. Dell is good, but he is a bit smaller, and that's what most of the Chiefs' receiver room is outside of Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Here is what NFL.com had to say about Dell and what he could bring to the Chiefs in the 2023 season, bringing Mahomes another weapon if this were to happen.

Every second of the route is a separation opportunity for Dell, a touchdown-making machine that pairs electrifying top-end speed with twitchy short-area quickness. His routes are fast and effective on all three levels with keen ball-tracking talent deep and sideline-dotting footwork. Focus drops and contested catches are ongoing issues that are likely to continue at the next level. Dell is dangerous with the ball in his hands after the catch and as a game-changing punt returner. His slender frame is a concern, but the explosive talent could be difficult to pass up for teams needing a big-play weapon to stretch the field and mismatch coverages.

The Chiefs could certainly use a guy like him, but I'd much rather they spend their first pick on someone else. Nothing against the guy, I just know there will be better at 31.
