The Green Bay Packers made the biggest move of the offseason this week by trading future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.
We've known for over a month that this deal was going to happen, but it was still bizarre to see it actually go down after watching Rodgers spend nearly two decades in Green Bay.
As the Packers prepare for the post-Rodgers era, they could be poised to make another big move according to the latest draft buzz from ESPN.
According to ESPN, the Packers could be a team that trades up in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday night. Green Bay has already moved up from No. 15 to No. 13 in the first round as a result of the Rodgers trade.
ESPN, however, thinks the Packers could move up again if there's a player they really like that's still there at No. 8 (which would put Green Bay one pick ahead of the Chicago Bears, their NFC North division rivals).
Specifically, ESPN says there's been chatter that the Packers are interested in taking an offensive tackle or a tight end. I'm not sure if they'd up move up again for a tight end, but there could be a possibility that they move up to grab an offensive tackle in front of the Bears (maybe Tennessee's Darnell Wright, a player that completely shut down expected top-five selection Will Anderson during the 2022 season).
It's setting up to be one of the wildest drafts in recent memory and it sounds like the Packers are going to be right in the thick of the action.
