Last weekend didn't end how the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans wanted it to, but there were some silver linings for them still.

The offense looked impressive. The offensive line dominated as per usual with their talented group.

Jalen Hurts absolutely dazzled and doubled down on the concept that he should be their starter for the next decade. His contract will be looked at during the off-season.

In the heavyweight bout, the Eagles quarterback set multiple Super Bowl records as well as franchise records.

Hurts went above and beyond even if his team didn't come out on the winning side.

For one, Hurts ran for three touchdowns against the Chiefs. That's the most by a QB in Super Bowl history.

Additionally, he is the only quarterback in Super Bowl history to record 300+ passing yards and 70+ rushing yards.

Hurts was a threat on the ground and through the air. Kansas City had no answer for the Eagles QB, and the numbers backed that up.

For the Eagles, this season proved that they have found their franchise QB.

There was some of that speculation after his improvement last season, but his growth this year really cemented his value to Philly. Their offense runs through him – both literally and metaphorically.

The Eagles must makes sure to lock him long-term as soon as they can. They cannot afford to enter a situation like the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson find themselves in. Lock up your stars.

Jalen Hurts is the star for the Philadelphia Eagles.
