Raiders: Jarrett Stidham showed some intangibles Derek Carr didn’t show often

Davante Adams showed on Sunday that he may very well be the best receiver in the league still. If you ask me, it's either him or Justin Jefferson. Either way, the Las Vegas Raiders have their guy.
They could have their guy at quarterback, too. Jarrett Stidham balled his tail off. He did some things I think no one expected, including some of the throws he was making.
For Stidham, in his first start as a Raider, to go and do what he did against the best defense in the NFL, is special. But there are a few things he showed outside of his skill and talent on the field.
Stidham displayed a swagger and toughness that, to be honest, Carr just doesn't have. I mean, Stidham took some huge hits and was still able to deliver when it mattered, even if they lost.
"He stuck in there and threw it," Davante Adams said of Stidhams' sideline throw. "He came and greeted me on the sideline with blood between his teeth. That’s what you want out of your quarterback. I’m really proud of him…He’s a tough guy, man. He’s not the biggest dude and he sticks in there, he’s going to look for his guys and he’s going to find a way to get it done.”
That play was one of the crazier ones in the game. Stidham escaped a collapsing pocket to the sideline area, and as soon as he was hit, and he was hit hard, he delivered the ball to a wide-open Adams running down the seam for a touchdown.
That touchdown was just one of his impressive three on the day. The 60-yard touchdown was also the longest pass play of the season for the Raiders, and part of his 365 passing yards on Sunday.
After that, Stidham got up and let everyone know that he was there. He had a swagger and toughness that Raiders fans embody.
I'm not going to say Stidham is going to be the guy, but he sure made a great case.
