Dak Prescott struggled versus the San Francisco 49ers. There is no denying that, and it's the primary reason why the Dallas Cowboys saw their season come to an end.

Prescott followed up one of the best games of his career with a complete dud. He torched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the tune of more than 300 yards passing and five total touchdowns in the Cowboys' playoff opener.

Then, instead of carrying that momentum over, Prescott struggled mightily in the Divisional Round. He wasn't seeing the field well, did not look confident delivering passes, and was inaccurate throughout the game.

Some blame can certainly be attached to offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Moore's offense did not ask the Cowboys' receivers to stretch the field or put much pressure on the defense. The play calling was questionable, too.

Still, it's difficult to not blame the quarterback. Especially when the quarterback gives the ball away multiple times. Prescott threw two interceptions in a seven-point loss where Dallas had opportunities to pull out a win.

In the latest Dallas Cowboys film breakdown on A to Z Sports, Prescott was put under the microscope. The video above showcases how Prescott missed reads, failed to make necessary throws, and put the offense in bad situations.

A to Z Sports Film Room analyst James Foster grinded the tape breakdown Prescott's performance versus the 49ers. Spoiler alert: it wasn't good, unfortunately. In fact, it is difficult to argue against Prescott shouldering the blame for the playoff defeat.

“I promise the number (of interceptions) will never be this (high) again," Prescott said following the loss to the Niners.

This sets the stage for a cricitcal offseason for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. Getting back on track will be paramount moving forward in order to get over the hump in the playoffs.
