The Dallas Cowboys are coming off an ugly loss right before the playoffs. That is certainly not something you want heading into a must-win matchup against Tom Brady in the postseason.

Still, the Cowboys are seeing a positive trend in a key area. Arguably the most important area: health. Dallas is getting healthy at the right time, and that's significant news for a team looking to finally make a run in January.

Dallas reported just four players on the injury report ahead of Monday night's showdown. That's after an injury-riddled season that saw Dallas rely on reserves up and down the 53-man roster.

Tyler Biadasz is was a full participant in practice after missing the regular season finale. His return is crucial to an offensive line that has been working through its problems over the past few weeks.

Good news for Cowboys

It also appears that Leighton Vander Esch is on track to return to the field, as expected. Vander Esch has proven to be a valuable piece of Dan Quinn's unit. His return allows Quinn to deploy Micah Parsons in more ways.

“I feel great about where we are. I think any time you can stand here and know that come Monday night you’re gonna have some guys that are disappointed that they’re not on the 48," Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said this week. "To me, that’s as healthy as you can ask to be this time of year.”

That includes star Micah Parsons, who says he has hit a second wind. Which seems pretty important, given how critical he will be in making Tom Brady's life hard in Monday's playoff action.

The Dallas Cowboys did not end the regular season how they wanted to. However, the team appears to be getting healthy at just the right time. Which is even more important for some postseason magic.
