It's Super Bowl week! But not for the Dallas Cowboys.
Instead, it's that time of the year in which you can't help but peek at next year's Super Bowl odds just to get an early idea of what sportsbooks make out of your favorite team.
And well, the Cowboys remain one of the favorites on the NFC side of things. In fact, they're the sixth overall favorite to win Super Bowl LVIII and third among NFC teams.
In a way, that perfectly tells you where the Cowboys are at right now.
They're clearly doing something right as they're coming off of two back-to-back 12-win seasons but it's also only fair to admit what appeared obvious this past postseason.
They're not at the level of the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. In an ideal world, the Cowboys would look at their roster like they have their coaching staff in an effort to make the necessary jump to beat those teams.
The Cowboys have already made a big gamble by parting ways with Kellen Moore and making Mike McCarthy the offensive architect of the team.
The next biggest question becomes a front office one as this team must add talent at wide receiver, and offensive line, among other spots to complement the "all-in" approach shown with the recent decisions around the coaching staff.
Things will probably start with a Dak Prescott contract restructure (or even a contract extension) as that's the biggest way to open up cap space this offseason.
