The Philadelphia Eagles are about to play their biggest game of the season, obviously, against the best team they have played all year long. This won't be easy, by any means. It's two teams that are some of the most balanced in the league, the most balanced to me.

This team will need all they can get to beat a good 49ers team on Sunday, to become the NFC Champions. They have the experience, they have talent, skill, and will to win. Head coach Nick Sirianni sees that. But man, did he have a powerful message about his team on Friday.

"There’s no doubt it’s the talent that they have, the work that they put in for it, but it’s also their mentality of, hey, I’m here, but I’m not treating this game like any differently than I treated the last game," Sirianni told reporters. "I’m treating this game with everything like I treated the last game and everything like I got treated the game before that.

"I’m completely locked in the moment and I’m not thinking about anything but how to do my job and how to make plays. I’m not thinking about the magnitude of the game, the magnitude of the moment, what happened to me the play before, what’s going to happen to me after this. They are just locked in. Again, I talk about that all the time with a dog mentality."

The Eagles have that dog mentality, and they have shown that all year. They have shown that in different ways too, taking the approach that no one believes in them, and they are constantly the underdog, because, let's face it before the season started I don't know of anyone who predicted this to happen.

This is why Sirianni is a Coach of the Year finalist because he really believes in his guys. He has these powerful messages because he means every bit of it. They have a system and it is working. Let's see if the players take this message to heart on Sunday, and go get Sirianni, who is in his second year as a head coach, his first Super Bowl appearance.
