The Buffalo Bills got a huge boost both from outside the team and on their own roster.

Just days before their upcoming playoff matchup with the Dolphins, Mike McDaniel confirmed that the Dolphins starting QB would be inactive.

It didn't take long for the Bills to make their own announcement. One in which Bills Mafia couldn't believe was true.

Micah Hyde suffered what was thought to be a season-ending injury during the Monday Night Football game against the Titans. While McDermott has ruled out the star's availability for Sunday, even getting this announcement was a game-changer.

If somehow Hyde could make his way onto the field in the upcoming games, it would give the defensive backfield a much-needed boost.

Hyde has been a staple to the Buffalo defense since pairing up with Jordan Poyer. In fact, the two are arguably one of the best safety tandems in the NFL. Hyde's locker room presence has been invaluable this season and it appears he will be doing everything he can to make it onto the field.

However, it will ultimately be up to his and the team's doctors to determine if he will be ready to play. Hyde confirmed the sentiment during his media availability after practice.

Again, another player who was believed to miss the rest of the season potentially is slot wide receiver Jamison Crowder. While Crowder hasn't spent much time with the Bills, his addition to the team in the offseason came with sky-high expectations.

The slot, in particular, is one spot where the Bills are looking to get more production. This is evident in the Cole Beasley pick up just a few weeks ago. If Crowder can find his way back onto the football field, it gives Josh Allen yet another weapon on offense.

We won't hold our breath for either of the player's return, but this is a step in the right direction.

The outlook for the playoffs would look a little different if Hyde and Crowder were to find a way to suit up and contribute on the field.

Nevertheless, Bills Mafia should be excited about the pair's ability to get back onto at least the practice field.

The playoffs are almost underway and it's arguably the healthiest the Bills have been all season.

Playoff Josh Allen will look to continue his recent dominance.

Get your popcorn ready, it's almost time for kickoff.
