The Philadelphia Eagles were the best team in the league for most of the season. They were the most complete and were stacked on both sides of the ball. No one could stop them when they were rolling. That is until Jalen Hurts got hurt.
Yet, national media outlets are still giving the Eagles praise, when they probably shouldn't. Will they take the praise? Of course. But, there are a few things the Eagles need to fix and they need to do it soon.
CBS Sports made a list of the top 14 Super Bowl match ups that would be the most fun to watch. They ranked the best at one, and the worst at 14. Well, the Eagles came through on a few of those.
They have the best match up, coming in at number one being a Super Bowl between the Buffalo Bills and the Eagles, which would definitely be a great match up.
Based on the way the Eagles are playing right now though, that wouldn't be a pretty game for Philly. Now, if the Eagles can play well enough to make it to the Super Bowl, then they can probably play well enough to beat the Bills. However, as of right now, those chances are looking slim.
They also ranked the Eagles and the Chiefs as the second-best Super Bowl match up we would want to see. The Chiefs may be the best team in football right now. The same goes for that game as it did for the Bills. The Eagles wouldn't stand a chance as of right now.
CBS Sports also ranked a match up between the Eagles and Jaguars as the 13th-best match up. That game wouldn't be as exciting, no. However, it would be one that would give the Eagles a better chance to win it all.
The Eagles aren't playing good football right now, so this bye week is much needed. If they want to have a chance to play any of these teams, they need to step it up and correct some things this week.
