One would think that after securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC, Jalen Hurts would rest on his lauras.

Apparently, that isn't the case.

Following the Eagles' victory on Sunday, Hurts had a day off. Instead of resting, he texted head coach Nick Sirianni saying he wanted to put in more work.

"I’m actually going in [to the facility] with Jalen," he said. "I know the coaches are off but Jalen said, ‘Hey, let’s watch the tape tomorrow.’ I said ‘You got it.’ He wanted to work and move on. So, at 12 o’clock, me, him, [offensive coordinator] Shane [Steichen], and [quarterbacks coach] Brian Johnson are going to watch the tape together in there. So, a couple of us are working, but everyone else needs to have that time off."

Hurst wasn't precision sharp in his first game back, but he was good enough. And after the game, he stuck to his mantra — this is just the start.

Winning a Super Bowl is goal No. 1 for Hurts. He's never satisfied merely being good enough — he wants to be great. And if he is great, the Eagles will be as well.
