It's certainly been a tough week for the Tennessee Vols basketball team.

Tennessee went from flirting with a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tourney to hoping they're at least a No. 3 seed in March.

Back to back losses to Vanderbilt and Missouri — which both came on buzzer beating three-pointers while up two — essentially confirmed that Tennessee won't be a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the tourney.

The day after the heartbreaking loss to Mizzou, the official Tennessee basketball Twitter account sent a message of encouragement to fans.

We know. It's been a weird couple weeks sports really do be like that sometimes But last night's second-half effort, THAT was Tennessee Basketball and the second-half TBA atmosphere, THAT was what VolNation is all about So stick with us. Keep showing up. We'll meet you there.

Tennessee gets a chance on Wednesday night in Knoxville to make a statement and get back on the right track thanks to a matchup against a top five ranked Alabama team.
