The Buffalo Bills had their franchise quarterback competing in the Pro Bowl, until they didn't.

It was announced that Josh Allen was being replaced by Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley. The reasoning was due to injury, but it appears now that it's not the case.

The Bills Mafia was quick to point out their thoughts on the NFL Pro Bowl, being called a joke by many fans. The downfall of the NFL Pro Bowl and the pivot to a more skills-based competition has left fans with a sour taste in their mouths.

Pro Bowl snubbed

The Pro Bowl seemingly doesn't indicate having the best players at their position compete on the gridiron. Instead, it's more of a fan-voting mechanic.

Josh Allen declining to participate in the events to instead focus on a golf tournament is a good indicator of how many feel about the event.

The shift in intensity and viewership in comparison to other years may have a direct impact on contracts. Specifically, in the past, there were incentives in players' contracts for making a Pro Bowl. Now that it's much less of a hot commodity, we could see that wiped entirely.

Not having one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL competing in the Pro Bowl is undoubtedly going to hurt the league. This is not an example, but a precedent that's been seen over the past few seasons.

Allen is back on the course

This isn't the first, and most likely won't be the last, time we see Josh Allen competing on a golf course. Last year, Josh Allen teamed up with Patrick Mahomes in a two versus two golf event against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.

While Allen may not attend, the Bills have a slew of players who were selected for this year's activities.

More likely than not, Bills Mafia will be tuning in to see Josh Allen compete in a golf tournament over a potential dodgeball contest with their favorite linebacker.

Wishful thinking

While Bills Mafia would prefer to be watching their team gear up for a Super Bowl, they will still get to see their favorite quarterback in action sooner rather than later.
