The Tennessee Vols have a great opportunity to steal some talent from Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels.

On Wednesday, two Ole Miss defensive backs officially entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Sophomore Tysheem Johnson and true freshman Davison Igbinosun are in the portal according to The Athletic's Max Olson.

Igbinosun is a former four-star cornerback from New Jersey who started as a true freshman for the Rebels this season. He was recruited to Tennessee by defensive coordinator Tim Banks and cornerbacks coach Willie Martinez, so he has familiarity with the Vols' coaching staff.

In fact, Igbinosun took an official visit to Tennessee in 2021 for the Vols' 45-20 win against South Carolina.

Johnson is a former four-star safety from Philadelphia who played a key role for Ole Miss in 2022.

The Pennsylvania native totaled 78 tackles (including four tackles for loss) for the Rebels this past season.

Johnson was recruited to Penn State by Banks and he was also recruited to UCF when Martinez and Vols head coach Josh Heupel were in Orlando. So like Igbinosun, Johnson has plenty of familiarity with Tennessee's coaching staff.

The Vols need some secondary help and both of these players could be instant impact players for Tennessee.

Plus I'm sure Heupel wouldn't mind stealing some talent from one of his SEC counterparts — especially if it's from Kiffin.

The NCAA transfer portal closes on Wednesday. But players who are in the portal as of Wednesday (January 18) can transfer to a new program at any time.
