As we all know, the Las Vegas Raiders and their once franchise quarterback Derek Carr have come to an agreement that the two sides should no longer do business together, thus meaning Carr will be on another team next fall.

Carr had himself quite the start of the weekend at the Pro Bowl in Las Vegas, as he won the precision passing game. Which would only help him make other teams more interested.

Carr made a very smart decision this weekend when he let the Raiders know he would not be extending his February 15 deadline.

Now, the Raiders have until February 15 to either trade or cut him or the $40 million guaranteed in his contract becomes effective.

But, the Raiders can’t put pen to paper on a trade until March 15, the the trade would essentially have to be a leap of good faith from all three parties involved, which makes it more unlikely something like that will happen.

Ultimately, even though all Carr said was he wouldn’t be extend the deadline, he had backed the Raiders into a corner. They will almost be forced to cut him and get nothing in return.

Part of that process started on Friday, as a report came out that Las Vegas will be granting Carr permission to speak with other teams.

The next few weeks will be very interesting for Raiders Nation.
