Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase dropped some news this week that should have fans in Cincy excited.

The biggest storyline for the Bengals this offseason is quarterback Joe Burrow's looming contract extension.

Burrow is expected to receive a massive deal that will make him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in NFL history. Cincinnati is absolutely going to pay Burrow — there's no concern that they won't.

The concern is how Burrow's new contract will impact the Bengals' roster in the future. It's going to be tough to pay Burrow and Chase (after next season) while keeping the rest of the roster intact.

That's where Chase's "good news" comes into the picture.

Chase appeared on "Super Bowl Live" this week and he was asked about Burrow's contract.

And Chase's response should give fans confidence that roster construction won't be a problem in Cincinnati after Burrow's extension.

"I don't think Joe's really too worried about how much money he's gonna make because he's already making a tremendous amount," said Chase. "I think Joe knows what he wants and how he wants to set up his contract to keep some of his weapons around him. And I think that's the biggest part for him."

I think most Bengals fans expected this to be the case — Burrow seems more concerned with winning than money.

Now, that's not to say that Burrow is going to play for pennies — he deserves to be paid well and he will be. But he's more worried about having the right pieces around him to compete for a championship, not making sure his bank account has as many zeroes as possible on his monthly statement.

Cincinnati is still going to have to make some tough decisions moving forward. Safety Jessie Bates likely won't be returning because of the upcoming extensions. But for the most part, it sounds like Burrow is committed to signing an extension that allows the Bengals to have some flexibility when it comes to building the team now and in the future.
