The Georgia Bulldogs might be playing in the national championship game on Monday night, but they took a big loss on NBC's Sunday Night Football this week.
In the second half of the Green Bay Packers' 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions, a former Georgia player was ejected for shoving a Detroit trainer.
Rookie linebacker Quay Walker, for some inexplicable reason, shoved a training staff member who was on the field to assist injured Lions running back D'Andre Swift (also a former Georgia player).
After Walker shoved the trainer from behind, Packers rookie defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt stepped into the trainer with his shoulder.
Walker and Wyatt played together at Georgia from 2018 to 2021. They were both selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
This isn't the first time that Walker has been ejected for shoving a non-player. Walker shoved a non-player on the Buffalo Bills sideline earlier this season.
Tennessee Vols fans likely remember Walker's high school recruitment. Tennessee had a legit shot to land Walker. And for a moment on signing day in 2018, it looked like Walker had picked the Vols.
Walker picked up a Tennessee hat and put it on before throwing it across the room and picking Georgia.
There's no doubt that Walker is a talented player, but he's got to keep his emotions in check if he's going to make an impact in the NFL.
I would bet on Walker facing some sort of discipline from the NFL. Wyatt likely will as well after the league reviews the video.
It certainly wasn't a good look for former Georgia players on Sunday night.
