The Philadelphia Eagles and even the Kansas City Chiefs both endured something on Sunday night that they shouldn't have had to. The Super Bowl is a game that should be taken with the utmost respect when it comes to player safety, and yet it wasn't.
If you still don't know what I'm talking about, turn the game back on, and go to literally any play, and you will likely see several players slipping and falling.
Fans didn't like it, coaches didn't like it, and the players definitely didn't like it.
"I'm not going to lie, it was the worst field that I've ever played on…it was very disappointing," Eagles defensive end Haason Reddick said after the game. "It's the NFL, you would think it would be better so we could get some better play, but it is what it is."
It was disappointing for the players, as Reddick said, but it was also disappointing for the fans, who really didn't get to see the best possible football be played because of the field conditions.
Now, is this the reason the Eagles lost? No. The Chiefs had to endure the same conditions. But, we were robbed of what could have been an even better game had the conditions been better.
