The Kansas City Chiefs won on Saturday against the Jacksonville Jaguars to advance to their fifth-straight AFC Championship game. They also ended up doing something to a Jaguars player that he had never had happen to him before.

This was the Jaguars first time in the playoffs with this new squad, you know, they have been rebuilding for years now. They haven’t been to the playoffs since 2017, when they lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship.

For their quarterback Trevor Lawrence, that was not his first time on a big stage. He had played and won national championships in college. And, in his college and high-school career, he had never lost on a Saturday.

The Chiefs had to change that. Lawrence was 34-0 when playing on Saturday at any level of his career. He is no longer undefeated on that day.

Lawrence didn’t have a bad day, but the Chiefs defense definitely made him work for it. Lawrence was 24/39 with 217 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. His quarterback rating wasn’t good though as he finished with a 54.5.

This may have been one of the best defensive performances we have seen in quite sometime. The defense sacked him twice, and created negative plays all game long in the run game too. But more importantly, they made it hard to breath for Lawrence.

They will have to keep this up, because the rest of the teams they will play will have even better quarterbacks.
