The 2023 season is nowhere near kicking off yet, in fact, the 2022 season just finished, and somehow the Saints are already being disrespected.

But, aren't we used to the disrespect by now? We should be for sure.

The Super Bowl just ended, which means the 2022-2023 season is officially over. But, that also means the way to early power rankings will start coming out, even before free agency or the draft.

Yet, the Saints were disrespected in one done by ESPN.

Per Katherine Terrell of ESPN, the Saints will be the 28th-best team in the league next season and will finish 7-10, which, if they are finishing with a record like that and that low in the rankings, then they likely aren't making the playoffs, according to Terrell.

This is why Terrell chose the Saints at 28:

"Jameis WinstonAndy Dalton? It's anyone's guess who could be the quarterback for the Saints in 2023. Their situation certainly looks a little brighter now that they'll get back into the first round of the draft, thanks to the Sean Payton trade. Whether they try to package picks and move up or make magic work with their salary-cap situation in free agency, expect the Saints to be on the lookout for their next signal-caller."

So, if the roster stayed as currently constructed, which it obviously won't, I could see the Saints finishing that low. But, I think they finish a bit higher.

They have a chance to have some really good talent in the draft that can come in and help this team compete right away. That also means they will likely have a new quarterback next year who in my opinion could be better than both Dalton and Winston.

The defense will get better as they mature, and the offense will have a new offensive coordinator in a better system.

This team could easily finish between 20-15.
