Tennessee Vols' SEC rival gets more bad news on Thursday

It's a fun time to be a Tennessee Vols fan and a not-so-fun time to be a Florida Gators fan.
Florida might end up being just fine under Billy Napier — it's too early to call him a bust.
But things aren't exactly going smoothly in Gainesville these days.
After going 6-7 last season, Florida made headlines earlier this offseason over the disastrous situation with Jaden Rashada, who was let out of his NLI with the Gators over a NIL despite.
The troubles for Florida have continued as we learned earlier this week that the Gators are losing defensive coordinator Patrick Toney and tight ends coach William Peagler. Both coaches are heading to the NFL to join the Arizona Cardinals' coaching staff.
Florida received more bad news on Thursday as they're also losing wide receivers coach Keary Colbert to the NFL.
Colbert is taking a job with the Denver Broncos.
The fact that assistants are leaving Florida for the NFL isn't a sign of trouble when it comes to Napier's staff, but it still makes for a challenging situation. Continuity is important in college football and the Gators are going to have a lack of it in 2023.
Oddly enough, the Broncos' had a wide receivers job open because Zach Azzanni, a former wide receivers coach for the Vols, left to become the New York Jets' new wide receivers coach.
It seems like everything connected to Tennessee is coming up aces these days, while the same can't be said for Florida.
I'm sure Vols fans don't mind, though. In fact, I'd say they're smiling a bit more these days because of the Gators' struggles.
