The Tennessee Vols are among the top schools for an underrated 2024 recruit from Georgia.
2024 three-star offensive tackle Malachi Toliver revealed his top 10 schools on Sunday and he included Tennessee, along with Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt.
Toliver, 6-foot-3/300 lbs from Cartersville, GA, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 54 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 49 offensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting class.
Toliver's recruiting ranking doesn't necessarily match his offer list.
The Georgia native has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia, among several others.
That looks like an offer list for a four-star recruit, which is what I expect Toliver to be the time he signs with a program later this year.
Toliver told On3 this past week that he plans to commit before his senior season, so the Vols have about five or six months left to make a strong impression on the talented offensive lineman.
