The Kansas City Chiefs have needed different playmakers to step up on offense this season.

They no longer have Tyreek Hill. Travis Kelce is the best tight end in football, but even he can't do it all for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Clyde Edwards-Helaire hasn't been healthy this season.

Depth has had to step up in Kansas City. Multiple players have done that, but one has been at the forefront for the Chiefs.

Running back Isiah Pacheco has been vital in both the run and pass game for KC.

His pass blocking has been a plus for the Chiefs compared to their other running backs.

Additionally, he is a fighter with the ball in his hands. He is relentless, and he showed that on multiple occasions in the AFC Championship versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

That determination earns him yardage that many other players would not get on certain opportunities.

Pacheco deserves a ton of credit for his role all season long.

In the regular season, he totaled over 800 rushing yards and 130 receiving yards. He averaged five yards per carry and recorded five touchdowns in just 11 starts.

In their AFC Championship win, his biggest impact was in the passing game. He caught five balls for 59 yards and added 26 yards on the ground. Going forward, the Chiefs need to look at him as their starting running back. He is clearly an important piece for their offense.

Fans love Pacheco, and he deserves plenty of praise.

He'll have an opportunity to continue his breakout season in a couple weeks in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
