The Las Vegas Raiders have been in the rumor mill over the last few weeks, but especially since they agreed to eventually part ways with their once-franchise quarterback Derek Carr.
Doing so meant they were in the market for another quarterback. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers losing in the first round in a terrible way also meant that Tom Brady would likely leave, rather it be via retirement or to another team.
Then everyone immediately started connecting the dots from what we learned this offseason about Brady and his connection with the Raiders. And, here we are. Both sides are available.
The Raiders have consistently been connected to possibly getting Brady because they are a larger market team and one that frankly doesn't mind spending money on a guy like Brady.
There have been a ton of articles and sports books that have odds on where Brady will go, and it seems like Las Vegas is a lot of people's favorite.
Will it happen? We honestly don't know. But, there is one thing the Raiders can do to increase their chances of landing the greatest quarterback of all time.
There was a report during the middle of the season that former Buccaneers and Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski wanted to make a return to the league. Apparently, he was "bored" during his retirement, and said he'd like to join a team that Brady is on.
I think it will be interesting to see where Brady goes because they will also likely get one of the greatest tight ends of all time to go along with the greatest player of all time.
Or, the Raiders could flip that. They could get Gronkowski before they get Brady. Getting Gronkowski first could potentially want Brady to come to Las Vegas. I mean, it's just a thought.
It may seem stupid, but that could legitimately increase their chances of landing the goat, as they call him.
