The Las Vegas Raiders have been in plenty of talks this offseason when it comes to their quarterback situation. They got rid of Derek Carr, their franchise guy, well, not yet, but they will get rid of him, and now they need a new guy at the spot.
The Raiders have plenty of options too. At first, most of Raiders Nation and even some media people thought there could be a possibility of Tom Brady coming to Las Vegas. However, we know how that went.
Brady retired and now the Raiders are still looking to cut or trade Carr by February 15 or $40 million of his deal becomes guaranteed.
Recently, Raiders star receiver Davante Adams tweeted that Aaron Rodgers, the free agent quarterback, would be moving to Adams neighborhood. Now, it could have been a joke, but, we don't know for sure.
Rodgers, who is currently playing in a golf tournament, was asked by fans where he is going, and he said "I'm not going to San Fran."
Everyone saw that video, as it was pretty funny and entertaining. Not to mention the fact that Rodgers probably doesn't like San Francisco because of his past in the playoffs.
Then a fan asked him if he was moving to Las Vegas next to Adams, and this is what Rodgers had to say.
“Tell him to buy me a house with all that money.”
Not only is that a perfect response, and makes Rodgers a bit more likable, but it's also a comment that he should know will get taken out of context.
Rodgers on the Raiders would be elite. Sure, Carr wasn't the best, but he was a top-20 quarterback. Now, if they were to add a guy like Rodgers who is in a completely different tier than Carr, it could get crazy.
Will it happen? I have no idea, but man, I would love to see it. Not to mention the quarterback duels we would get to see in the AFC West.
