Chiefs player leaving team to join Eric Bieniemy in Washington
One player from the 2022 Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl team just left to play with a former Kansas City coach
The Washington Commanders practically just stole one of the Chiefs players. Not really, but it kind of feels that way when you piece everything together.
The Washington Commanders swooped in and signed former Chiefs player Marcus Kemp, who has been with the team for five years now in two different stints, by way of practice squad and official roster spot
Some Chiefs fans may remember Kemp from the plays he made in the AFC Championship game when JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kadarius Toney, and Mecole Hardman were all absent.
In his career, Kemp has four catches for 42 yards on eight targets. At 6'4" Kemp has the size that the Commanders will love to use in their receiver rotation if he makes the roster.
I think given the chance, he can be a pretty decent player under new offensive coordinator and former Chiefs coach Eric Bieniemy.
