It seems Odell Beckham Jr. is attempting to prove to wide receiver-needy teams that his knee is fully recovered from a torn ACL suffered in the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl LVI win over a year ago.

Beckham, who's been a free agent for nearly a year, will hold a workout in Arizona on Friday, per a source. The Patriots are expected to attend, per a source.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Beckham is “100 percent fully healthy.”

The Patriots were tied to Beckham when he signed with the Rams in November 2021, and they could still use help at wide receiver with Jakobi Meyers and Nelson Agholor hitting free agency next week. New England currently has wide receivers Kendrick Bourne, DeVante Parker, Tyquan Thornton, Raleigh Webb, Lynn Bowden and Tre Nixon signed for the 2023 season.

Beckham met with the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills during the 2022 season.

Beckham caught 44 passes for 537 yards with five touchdowns in 14 games in 2021. He added 21 catches for 288 yards with two touchdowns in the Rams’ playoff run.

Beckham would provide a high-ceiling option in the Patriots’ receiver room, but after a full season off, it would be difficult to count on the talented wideout, whose last 1,000-yard and fully healthy season came in 2019.

But if the Patriots can bring back Meyers or add another starting-caliber wide receiver and sign Beckham, then they could set themselves up to have a better pass-catching corps than they rostered when quarterback Mac Jones struggled in 2022.

Beckham was seeking a long-term deal during the 2022 season. The fact that he's holding a workout for NFL teams hints that demand is not high for his services, and that he could likely be had for a bargain. Still, it seems unlikely that the Patriots would make a serious run at the receiver. But if the price is right, they were interested back in 2021.
