The Tennessee Titans’ tight ends room added a new member on Friday.

The Titans and veteran TE Trevon Wesco have agreed to terms on a one-year deal, per Jim Wyatt.

A fourth-round draft pick in 2019, Wesco spent his first three seasons with the New York Jets. In 2022, Wesco played in 14 games for the Chicago Bears, but registered just two catches for 26 yards.

Wesco is primarily used as a blocking tight end, which could spell bad news for Geoff Swaim’s future in Tennessee. Swaim is currently a free agent.

Wesco will likely play a major factor in the Titans 12 personnel as Chig Okonkwo’s complimentary opposite.

Wesco has 54 games of NFL experience, starting in 13 of those outings. He has eight receptions for 113 yards in his four-year career.

Wesco joins a tight end group currently consisting of Okonkwo, Kevin Rader, Thomas Udokya and Justin Rigg. The Titans are weak at the offensive tackle position, so adding Wesco should provide a boost to the offense's edge-blocking on outside runs.
