The Chicago Bears aren't quite done prepping their roster for the 2023 season quite yet. Bears fans will rejoice as the team was able to fill multiple needs on both sides of the ball in the NFL draft.
Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus with loads of salary cap space and a savvy draft strategy, have been able to significantly improve the roster to where it currently stands today.
Without further ado, we present to you the Chicago Bears post-draft roster. Note: Single asterisks (*) represent 2023 draft picks and double asterisks (**) represent undrafted free agents
Quarterback
- Tyson Bagent**
- Justin Fields
- Nathan Peterman
- P.J. Walker
The Skinny: Justin Fields leads the charge as he enters 2023 with a much-improved supporting cost. Not only has Chicago upgraded the roster with pass-catchers, but Fields should be able to settle in behind a new and improved offensive line featuring first-round pick RT Darnell Wright.
Running Back
- Khari Blasingame
- Robert Burns**
- D’Onta Foreman
- Khalil Herbert
- Travis Homer
- Roschon Johnson*
The Skinny: Running back will be a position to watch during training camp. D'Onta Foreman is capable of carrying a hefty load, but Khalil Herbert's shiftiness is a prime asset out of the backfield. Fourth-round pick Roschon Johnson could be in line to steal some carries as a rookie with a bruising style of running and above average pass-blocking skills.
Wide Receiver
- Jaden Blue**
- Chase Claypool
- Aron Cruikshank**
- Velus Jones Jr.
- Deshun Kitchings**
- Danny Kittner**
- Darnell Mooney
- D.J. Moore
- Dante Pettis
- Thyrick Pitts Jr.**
- Tyler Scott*
- Equanimeous St. Brown
The Skinny: Wide receiver is the most-improved position group on the Bears roster. Moore is a bonafide WR1 who will give opposing defensive coordinators headaches. If Claypool can return to form and Mooney takes the next step in his game, Chicago's passing attack will be fun to watch. Fourth pick Tyler Scott has the speed to take the top off of defenses down the field and could earn a significant role by Week 1.
Tight End
- Damien Caffrey**
- Cole Kmet
- Jake Tonges
- Robert Tonyan
The Skinny: Chicago plucked a true redzone threat from the rival Packers by inking Robert Tonyan in free agency. He pairs nicely with Kmet who looks to build off of his breakout season in 2022.
Offensive Line
- Nicholas Amoah**
- Desmond Bessent**
- Larry Borom
- Ja'Tyre Carter
- Nate Davis
- Kellen Diesch
- Dieter Eiselen
- Gabe Houy**
- Teven Jenkins
- Braxton Jones
- Doug Kramer
- Alex Leatherwood
- Lorenz Metz**
- Lucas Patrick
- Cody Whitehair
- Darnell Wright*
The Skinny: The Bears upgraded the right side of their offensive line over the offseason by inking RG Nate Davis and drafting Darnell Wright with the 10th overall pick. If Braxton Jones continues to develop alongside Teven Jenkins, QB Justin Fields might have enough time to write a book in the pocket.

Defensive Line
- Trevis Gipson
- Rasheem Green
- Jalen Harris**
- Jalyn Holmes
- Terrell Lewis
- Devonnsha Maxwell**
- Dominique Robinson
- DeMarcus Walker
The Skinny: The Bears added Rahseem Green and DeMarcus Walker in free agency, but still don't have a marquee pass rusher. While run defense should be much improved, look for the Bears to target a veteran pass rusher in free agency.
Defensive Tackle
- Travis Bell*
- Andrew Billings
- Andrew Brown
- Gervon Dexter*
- Donovan Jeter
- Justin Jones
- Zacch Pickens*
The Skinny: Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus weren't messing around in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Bears added three interior lineman in Bell, Dexter and Pickens to beef up the middle of Chicago's defense.
Linebacker
- Micah Baskerville**
- Dylan Cole
- Kuony Deng
- Tremaine Edmunds
- T.J. Edwards
- DeMarquis Gates
- Jack Sanborn
- Noah Sewell*
- Sterling Weatherford
The Skinny: Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards add some star power to the Bears young linebacker room. Jack Sanborn showed that he is able to step up in the middle of the Bears defense after an impressive rookie campaign in 2022. Chicago found standout LB Noah Sewell in the fifth round of the draft out of Oregon who will bring depth to the unit.
Cornerback
- Josh Blackwell
- Kyler Gordon
- Jaylon Johnson
- Jaylon Jones
- Michael Ojemudia
- Terell Smith*
- Tyrique Stevenson*
- Greg Stroman
- D'Jordan Strong**
- Kindle Vildor
- De'Jahn Warren**
The Skinny: Chicago added two cornerbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft who will both likely have a role in the upcoming season. Tyrique Stevenson will compete for a starting job while Smith figures to make an impact on special teams. Johnson, Jones, Gordon and Vildor look to take the next step in the secondary and improve upon a putrid Bears pass defense in 2022.

Safety
- Justin Boiles**
- Jaquan Brisker
- Macon Clark**
- Adrian Colbert
- Elijah Hicks
- Eddie Jackson
- A.J. Thomas
- Kendall Williamson*
The Skinny: Chicago enters 2023 with a handful of capable safeties. Two-time Pro Bowler Eddie Jackson is expected to be ready for training camp and lead this talented group. Brisker looked like a future All-Pro after a strong showing in 2022. There is plenty of solid depth options here as well with Colbert, Hicks and Thomas. Chicago also added Stanford product Kendall Williamson in the seventh round of the draft.
Special Teams
- Ryan Anderson (P)
- Cairo Santos (K)
- Patrick Scales (LS)
- Andre Szmyt (K)**
The Skinny: The Bears return Santos and Scales who have been productive as a pair. Anderson is expected to win the starting job at punter, though it wouldn't be surprising to see the Bears add some competition for the preseason.
