The Kansas City Chiefs finished their offseason in terms of putting a roster together and they now are looking even better than they were last year. They addressed every need, and made some position groups better than last year.

If this team wants to repeat as Super Bowl champions, it starts with the offseason, and the Chiefs have mastered that part. They have added a ton of UDFA guys too. So, let's see if we can guess what the roster may look like and who will make the 53-man roster and who won't.

Note: Players with single asterisk (*) are 2023 draft picks and players with double asterisks (**) are 2023 undrafted free agents.

Quarterback (2)

IN: Patrick Mahomes, Blaine Gabbert
OUT: Shane Buechele

The skinny: The Chiefs didn't make any additions to their quarterback room behind Mahomes like a lot of people thought they would. They believe in Blaine Gabbert as a backup.

Running back (4)

IN: Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, La'Mical Perine, Deneric Prince**
OUT:

The skinny: The running back room is weird, because as of right now the only guys on the roster at the position will make it. They only have four guys as we speak, and one is Prince, who could make the 53.

Wide receiver (6)

IN: Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson, Rashee Rice*, Justyn Ross
OUT: Jerrion Ealy, Ty Fryfogle, Cornell Powell, John Ross, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Ty Scott**, Nikko Remigio**, Sean Coyne**, Zane Pope**

The skinny: The Chiefs addressed the wide receiver room and boy did they get a good one in Rashee Rice. But, that lost spot was given to Justyn Ross, because we have seen his talent when he is healthy and man, he can be great.

Tight end (4)

IN: Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, Jody Fortson, Kendall Blanton
OUT: Matt Bushman, Jamal Turner**

The skinny: This unit will pretty much look the same. It was a good one last year where all of these guys but maybe Kendall Blanton, made huge plays in the postseason. The Chiefs have a great tight end room lead by the G.O.A.T.

Offensive line (10)

IN: Jawaan Taylor, Joe Thuney, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Lucas Niang, Austin Reiter, Nick Allegretti, Darrian Kinnard, Prince Tega-Wanogho, Wanya Morris *
OUT: Mike Caliendo, Anderson Hardy**, Jeremy Cooper**, Quinton Barrow**, Josh Mote**, Jerome Carvin**

The skinny: The offensive line needed a right tackle and they got one. Now they need to go through all of their offensive lineman that were UDFAs, and see if there are any gems. In my opinion, I don't think any will be better than what they already have.

Defensive line (6)

IN:  Charles Omenihu, Chris Jones, Derrick Nnadi, Danny Shelton, Tershawn Wharton, Keondre Coburn*
OUT:  Daniel Wise

The skinny: The defensive line didn't get as much attention as we maybe though it would, but they still added a guy in Coburn that has a great burst if speed nd strength off of the line.

Defensive end/EDGE (5)

IN: George Karlaftis, Malik Herring, Mike Danna, BJ Thompson *, Felix Anudike-Uzomah *
OUT: Josh KaindohTruman Jones**

The skinny: This defensive group is going to be insanely fun to watch the next few years. They are young, but the talent is more than there. Even guys like BJ Thompson may get a chance to show what they can do.

Inside linebacker (4)

IN: Nick Bolton, Drue Tranquill, Willie Gay Jr., Leo Chenal
OUT: Jack Cochrane, Cole Christiansen, Isaiah Moore**, Cam Jones**

The skinny: This group is going to be even better than it was last year with the addition of Drue Tranquill. The two odd men left out were kind of always going to be that.

Cornerback (5)

IN: L'Jarius Sneed, Joshua Williams, Jaylen Watson, Trent McDuffie, Chamarri Conner *
OUT: Dicaprio Bootle, Nazeeh Johnson, ,Nic Jones*, Ekow Boye-Doe**, Anthony Witherstone**, Montrae Braswell**, Reese Taylor**

The skinny: This position group may have the toughest battles within the group because of how deep the position is. You have have seventh rounders like Jones not make the team.

Safety (4)

IN: Bryan Cook, Justin Reid, Mike Edwards, Anthony Cook**
OUT: Isaiah Norman**

The skinny: The undrafted free agent rookie Anthony Cook fro Texas will make the roster. Not just because there isn't a ton of competition, but because he is actually good too.

Special Teams (3)

IN: James Winchester, Harrison Butker, Tommy Townsend
OUT:

The skinny: There isn't anything needed to be said about the special teams. This is one of the best units in the league.
