The Kansas City Chiefs may have some new competition in the AFC, which doesn't give off the best feeling considering the AFC is tough enough.

I mean, you have the Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens are always tough, the Chargers, Jaguars, and Dolphins will be tough outs too.

And now it's safe to say you can throw the New York Jets in that conversation, a team that missed the playoffs last year, not by much, and made a good roster a great one with a few key addition this offseason, most notably quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Chiefs will play the Jets on the road in 2023, so we will get to see them first hand at what a team without Zach Wilson looks like. Oh, and to add more spice to the headlines, it's the last two MVPs playing each other, and Mecole Hardman playing his old team.

Are the Chiefs worried about the Jets though? Probably not. In fact, running back Isiah Pacheco didn't say they were, but his response when asked about the Jets definitely gives off those vibes.

“You know me, I don’t really worry about the stats and analytics and all that… I’m sure [Aaron] Rodgers is an intelligent guy and he’ll be able to compete.”

The Chiefs are still the team to beat in the AFC, so let's not get that twisted or forgotten. They have been to five straight AFC Championship games, been to three Super Bowls in four years and won two of them. They are on the verge of creating a dynasty. Now, that doesn't mean the Jets can't beat the Chiefs, because they can. Their roster makes them more than capable of doing that.

But, until they show that they can the Chiefs are the team to beat. And even if they do beat them in the regular season, the Chiefs are still the team to beat. last year Buffalo and Cincinnati beat the Chiefs in the regular season. But, who came out as the Super Bowl champions?

It's going to be fun to watch though when these two teams do get together.
