The Las Vegas Raiders' new potential star has been watching and studying one of his new teammates for some time now. Which, if we are being honest, is only going to make him better in the long run.

The Raiders have one of the best defensive ends in the league in Maxx Crosby. That isn't a secret, as the whole league knows that eventually, Crosby could win a Defensive Player of the Year. If the Raiders defense wasn't so bad last year, he would have had a chance to win it then.

The Raiders need to get Crosby help, and they think they did that this past weekend with the 2023 NFL Draft. With their first pick, they stayed away from the quarterback rumors and drafted Tyree Wilson, the edge rusher out of Texas Tech, who isn't new to the guy that will eventually be across from him on the other end.

"I've watched him [Crosby]," Tyree Wilson said. "I've been watching him for a while. He's a great pass rusher, dominant, and a disruptive player that's going to be relentless all over the field. That's what I try to have my game at, be relentless and disruptive."

If you watch Wilson's highlights as a Red Raider, which by the way he was a Raider in high school at West Rusk High, a Red Raider in college at Texas Tech, and now a Las Vegas Raider, you can see he had some Crosby in his game in college.

The Raiders may have gotten a great guy at the edge position, even if he doesn't start right away. He and Crosby will be players that complement each other on both sides of the defensive line for years to come They can truly be a great duo getting to the quarterback.
