The Dallas Cowboys have done a lot of winning over the last two seasons, with 24 wins in 34 games.

As nice as that is, the Cowboys only have one playoff win to show for it, prolonging the Super Bowl that has plagued the franchise for nearly 30 years.

With a well-put-together roster, some strategic free moves in free agency, and several promising additions in the NFL Draft, Peter King of NBC Sports placed the Cowboys 10th on his offseason power rankings list.

King may think highly of the Cowboys, but he also dropped a little tough love as well.

Know why this is a crucial year for the Cowboys? They’ve won 24 regular-season games in the last two years, then scored 36 points in eight quarters in two playoff losses to the Niners. Dak Prescott’s got to do something about that, now.

The job McCarthy has done getting the Cowboys to 12 wins in each of the last two seasons while having to deal with significant injuries to Dak Prescott, Michael Gallup, Tyron Smith, Jourdan Lewis, and others should be commended. However, with playoff failure spread throughout their recent history, the Cowboys have to start making more noise in the postseason while they have the roster to do so.

Dallas has established itself as a force in the NFC and a contender to win it all. At some point, though, all the hype and hoopla has got to get old and results have to come to the forefront.

It's year four for McCarthy, and the more he doesn't produce wins in the playoffs the hotter his seat will get. There's nothing else to be said, the Cowboys, somehow, have to start make a deep playoff run.
