Three Broncos that came out of OTAs/minicamp as losers

Minicamp and OTAs are a time for guys who aren't established to make a name for themselves. It's a time for the rookies or undrafted players, and even bubble or fringe roster guys, to show they belong. The Broncos have had some guys do that, but they have also had some guys show the opposite or even do what they were supposed to, but someone just did better.
Guys like Drew Sanders, who have players and coach's jaws dropped to the floor over his athletic ability, are the reason there are losers. The guys behind him haven't done as much to solidify themselves. The Broncos have three guys who could have done more during these offseason workouts but, based on what we heard, didn't do enough.
Broncos losers from offseason workouts
Nik Bonitto, OLB

There are a few reasons Bonitto is on this list, but the biggest has to be because of the Frank Clark signing. Bonitto hasn't done anything wrong, but based on everything we are hearing, he hasn't exactly wowed anyone yet either. After the Baron Browning injury you would think Bonitto would get more opportunities, and he still may, but signing an established veteran like Clark makes it tougher.
Bonitto also has a few players on his tail in terms of guys who are also trying to make the roster and have wowed in offseason workouts. Christopher Allen and Thomas Incoom are two guys that have surprised coaches and media.
Baron Browning, OLB

I think we all know why Browning is on this list. Having an injury sucks, but having an injury that will keep you out until at least Week 1, that really sucks. Now Browning will miss all of training camp, which is crucial, and all of preseason; also crucial, and at least the firsts game of the year.
The other reason this happening comes in as a "loser" is because the Broncos went and signed Frank Clark after. Clark may not be what he used to be, but he is a former division rival, and a guy that has won two Super Bowls, along with being one of the best postseason pass rushers of all time. Now when Browning is ready to come back, he could see himself splitting more reps with Clark than he maybe thought.
Tony Jones Jr., RB

While Jones r. does have a connection with Sean Payton from their days with the New Orleans Saints, his spot certainly isn't safe, especially with the way things have been going in offseason workouts. Like we said with Bonitto; it isn't really anything Jones is doing wrong, it's just that we are hearing more about the other guys in the room.
Tyler Badie was on the team last year and actually scored a touchdown, and brings a little more of that speed factor the Broncos don't really have in the room. Then there is undrafted free agent Jaleel McLaughlin, the NCAA's all-time leading rusher, who is making some noise too.
It's tough picking three losers for a team who already dealt with so many frustrating things last year, but these three guys definitely shouldn't have come away from mandatory minicamp thinking their situation was better than before.
But there is nothing but positive around the Broncos at this time. That's what you want to hear too. Hopefully, these guys can show during training camp that they are worthy of being on the roster.
