The New Orleans Saints have a shot to be one of the better offenses in the NFL in 2023. Of course, getting quarterback Derek Carr in free agency and having wide receivers Michael Thomas and Chris Olave helps tremendously, but the Saints have more.

Undrafted free agent, Rashid Shaheed, made the most of his opportunities in 2022 and ended up catching 82.4% of his targets and scoring three total touchdowns.

Even with his surprising production as a rookie, Shaheed isn't talked about that much, but one major outlet thinks he's the biggest sleeper on the Saints roster.

Give the Saints a ton of credit for finding a player like Shaheed, who has a cap number of just $870,000 in 2023. An undrafted free agent out of Weber State, Shaheed was a deep ball threat in his rookie season, averaging 17.4 yards per catch in 12 games (28 catches, 488 yards, two touchdowns). He also averaged 14.3 yards per carry (on just four carries) with a touchdown while finishing with 1,058 all-purpose yards.

He's a diamond in the rough, but Shaheed might be on his way to being a major contributor in New Orleans.

Saints’ underdog has changed the perception on him

The New Orleans Saints drafted wide receiver Chris Olave in 2022 to pair with Michael Thomas. However, another move they made at the position ended up being clutch. Rashid Shaheed went undrafted out of Weber State before the Saints signed him. At 6'0" with 4.3-4.4 speed, Shaheed certainly had some promise, but it was about […]
