Las Vegas Raiders Hunter Renfrow

There is no secret that something is going on between the Las Vegas Raiders and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. They are paying the man $32.3 million, and for what?

In Week 1, Renfrow played 22% of offensive snaps; this week, he played 65% of offensive snaps. Week 2 was much better, but there is no reason he should have gone through all of Week 1 without a target and then one target in garbage time against the Buffalo Bills.

You understand that the Raiders have Davante Adams, but what was the point in paying Renfrow and bringing in Meyers if you need help figuring out how to get everyone involved?

The only way for the Raiders to truly avoid this issue in terms of their pockets being hurt and getting nothing in return for their investment is to make a trade and send Renfrow elsewhere, where he can be used properly.

I have the perfect trade that works for both sides.

Raiders trade Renfrow to the Titans in a hypothetical deal

This trade would have the Raiders trading their starting receiver, Hunter Renfrow, and a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Tennessee Titans in return for a 2024 fourth-rounder. This works for both sides in terms of need and financial ability.

The Raiders cannot cut Renfrow and save money. That just cannot happen. So, the only way to get off of the contract is by trade, and the Titans would be the perfect partner.

The Titans won't have a great receiver group outside of Treylon Burks and Deandre Hopkins. In fact, they have one of the worst rooms in the league in terms of depth and that third guy. Sending Renfrow there would give them another option, and he fits the scheme.

Renfrow could be that slot receiver they kind of need, but he could also be a guy who has versatility in terms of alignment and route running.

This would impact both team's cap situation for this season by $6.5 million, negatively for the Titans and positively for the Raiders. The Raiders get off of the deal and get something in return, while the Titans get better in one of their worst rooms.

This also helps the Raiders get some of their other receivers involved, including rookie wide receiver Tre Tucker.

Of course, this deal might not even happen, but it's certainly something that would work.
