Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce

We saw something scary with Travis Kelce in the Kansas City Chiefs win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. But, before we get into that, it's fair to mention that Kelce was still not himself in the win. He was noticeably still in pain and even a bit out of shape at times. The heat got to him, like it did with everyone else.

But that's not what's scary.

We saw a different side of Kelce, one that we actually don't see often, although I feel that if he had a microphone on every game, we would think differently. He was fiery. He was trash-talking. You could see him getting into it with other players on the Jaguars.

He was not backing down. Andy Reid noticed it as well.

"He's always been feisty and competitive as all get out. My point was that he went into that game, banged up a little bit, and didn't have an opportunity to knock the rust off in the first game, so he put himself in a certain mindset, and the great ones can do that. He was there, and he was battling through it, and I thought he did a heck of a job with it," Reid said. "He never complains, never says anything, just goes.

"He's not the youngest one out there, but I thought he did a good job. That's what he did; he went out, and he had a certain attitude that knew he was going to have to have to get through that game, and he put it on."

Kelce didn't have the Kelce game we are used to, but he did score. He was held to just 26 receiving yards. But he did get the win, and the Jaguars didn't. He let them know, too, especially safety Rayshawn Jenkins, who was pretty mad after the game.

"Anybody that was going to mess with him was going to get messed back (laughter)," Andy Reid stated.
