The first flex of the year for the Detroit Lions is in. The Lions were scheduled to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa at 1:00PM ET on Sunday, October 15th. That game has now been flexed to 4:25PM ET.
This probably won't be the last time this happens this season. While it hasn't been announced yet, the Lions vs Bucs game will probably take the place of the Eagles vs Jets game. and will be Fox's America's Game of the Week.
The NFL is always looking to put competitive teams on TV. The Lions and Bucs are both 3-1 right now and are in first place in their respective divisions. This could even be billed as an old NFC Central rematch. Get used to it Lions fans. These kind of things happen when your team is good and exciting.

Update: Turns out the NFL just flexed an extra game into the slot and the Jet and Eagles will still play at 4:25PM as well. In that case, the NFL just wants to get more eyes on this game.
