While the Cleveland Browns won on the field in Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, it certainly came with a loss.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that the Browns would be without veteran S Rodney McLeod. He will be out for the remainder of the season with a biceps injury that will require surgery.

The Browns had LB Anthony Walker Jr. exit with a hamstring injury and he’s being looked at as week-to-week, per Stefanski. Rookie RT Dawand Jones was limited in the game against the Steelers but should progress.

Against the Steelers, McLeod got the start with S Juan Thornhill out for the game with a calf injury. McLeod is a veteran presence who had played in Jim Schwartz’s system prior to coming to Cleveland with Philadelphia.

McLeod has played about half of the defensive snaps and has 29 tackles and a pass defended in five starts.

With the injury, an opportunity arises for Ronnie Hickman and D’Anthony Bell. Hickman had four tackles and played for McLeod primarily in Week 11, Bell had just three snaps on defense.

Cleveland has the best defense in the league and the loss of McLeod is losing one of their better depth players.
