There was a lot of talking going into rivalry week, which featured the Jacksonville Jaguars playing the Tennessee Titans, two teams who don't like each other at all. So, you know that there would be talk coming into this game, just like always.

There was talk before the San Francisco 49ers game, and it was the same kind of stuff. Nick Bosa, one of the best defensive players in the league, said that Trevor Lawrence doesn't go through his reads. If you only watched the 49ers game and no other tape, well, he would be correct.

Then Arden Key said essentially the same thing. Now, mind you, Key was with the Jaguars just last year, and there was actually drama this offseason when the Jaguars didn't offer Key what he felt was a respectable enough offer. Before this game, he said the Jaguars would have to make Lawrence go through his reads.

"Not Arden," Lawrence said after the game with a laugh. "Arden said that? I mean, I'm not thinking of any of that stuff. I can care less what any of those guys say. That's really my only response to that. It doesn't matter. If those guys think I'm the best player in the world, it doesn't matter either.

I love Arden, my former teammate. It hurts that he said that, no," Lawrence continued to joke. "It doesn't matter. It's how you perform on Sunday. It's not about what other people say, but if you want to change the narrative, change the narrative."

Not only did Trevor Lawrence respond the right way in the press conference, but he did it on the field, too. He has been hearing all of the talk, and the new narrative is starting to form, and frankly, he doesn't seem to care that much.

His game on Sunday showed that the narrative is untrue. He threw for 262 yards on 24 of 32 passes, with two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. He showed them the way you're supposed to – on the field.
