The Cleveland Browns received a bit of good news to get Week 14 off to a good start for them.
On the Wednesday before the matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Browns got CB Denzel Ward back at practice. Ward had missed the last two games with a shoulder injury, but with him being able to practice today it’s a good sign of him returning.
Out of practice on Wednesday is WR Amari Cooper (concussion, ribs), RB Kareem Hunt (groin), and DT Maurice Hurst. Both QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson and WR Marquise Goodwin will practice today after clearing concussion protocol. Myles Garrett was out for the day, too (rest).
Ward comes back right when Cleveland needs him after a pair of missed games. The Browns definitely need their Pro Bowl cornerback for the stretch run of December and January football.
Games missed for Ward were both away games out west. Cleveland didn’t have their No. 1 cornerback against the Broncos or Rams. It hurt most against the Rams with Mike Ford on the outside.
Cooper is the only worry today in terms of players who could miss Sunday’s matchup. His status is one to watch.

2023 trend favors the Browns to end up making the playoffs
The Browns have something working in their favor down the stretch.
