Here it is. The final week of the 2023 NFL regular season. Nine teams have clinched the playoffs and most things are ready to go outside of some seeding possibilities. Oh, and there's also still five playoff spots left to fill.
The Texans, Colts, Steelers, Bills, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Packers, Vikings, Falcons, Saints and Seahawks all have playoff clinching scenarios this week. The one that everyone has their eyes on though is the Bills.
The Bills have been red hot as of late. Maybe one of the best teams in football. They've won five of their last six games and they've done it against the likes of the Cowboys and Chiefs. Can they do it against the Dolphins? If they don't, the season could be over.
If the Jaguars and Steelers win their games, the Bills are out. The Jaguars play the 5-11 Titans and the Ravens play the Steelers. That might feel like easy Ravens win, but the Ravens are resting starters. Oh yeah, and the Ravens have beaten the Steelers once in the last seven meetings and that wasn't this year.
The insane flip side to all of this is that if the Bills simply win this game, they are the second seed in the AFC. It's either out or the second seed. I've never seen anything like it.
As for the A to Z Staff, who's going to shine in the final week of the season? Last week our champion, or champions was a tie between Bengals beat writer John Sheeran and Colts beat writer Destin Adams. Both went 13-3. Who will be the final champion of the regular season?
