On Thursday morning, Mark Andrews was on a flight from Baltimore to Phoenix and heroically helped save a woman's life.

On the Southwest flight, a doctor and nurse attending to a women who suffered a mid-flight medical emergency couldn't find a strong pulse. Her blood pressure was reportedly very low and she required oxygen to breathe.

Andrews, who was sitting in an aisle seat, stood up and asked if it could be her blood sugar. The Baltimore Ravens tight end has Type 1 diabetes, and told those attending to her that he had a diabetic testing kit that could be of use.

He helped the medical professionals use the kit, and due to his assistance her heart rate was able to be stabilized.

When the flight landed, paramedics were waiting to attend to the woman.

According to Springs, Andrews "deplaned quietly."

It was a truly heartwarming moment and the story has now gone viral on social media. Andrews has been applauded for his efforts to help save the woman's life. But it's clear that he didn't do it for the glory.

He simply wanted to help. So that's what he did.

Andrews' season came to a close on Sunday after the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship. It was his first game back since suffering a cracked fibula and an ankle ligament injury during the regular season in November. He was activated right before the game, and was able to finish his sixth season on the field.
