Day one of the Senior Bowl is officially in the books. There were a lot of standouts from both the American and National teams on Tuesday. We spent the day mostly covering receivers, tight ends, corners and satieties. Here's four guys that stood out the most to me for the Lions:

Cam Hart, cornerback, Notre Dame

This guy was the guy on Tuesday. Hart gave everyone he went up against a hard time and he looked like one of the biggest standouts to everyone we talked to on day one. Hart spent some time going up against North Carolina receiver Devontez Walker and Walker probably wishes he didn't. Hart wowed everyone when he jumped Walker on a route and came out with an interception.

We talked to Hart after practice and here's what he said about the Lions:

Sounds like some stuff Dan Campbell would like. Especially the hard nose part.

Hart is currently slated to go on day three. He could start moving his way up the board after Tuesday.

Roman Wilson, Receiver, Michigan

Roman Wilson was damn near unstoppable on Tuesday. Seriously, if the ball went his way, he was catching it and making a play with it and it did not matter who was covering him. Wilson was slated to be a day three prospect by a lot of draft experts, he probably worked his way up the board on Tuesday. If he keeps having a week like this, he could be in the day two conversation in no time.

The Lions receiving corps seems set at the moment, but the Lions could always use more sure handed talent outside of St. Brown and Williams. Wilson would be quite the third threat.

Khyree Jackson, cornerback, Oregon

Jackson was another standout at cornerback and he also gave North Carolina's Walker a hard time whenever they were lined up across from each other. Like this time here where he got a nice pass breakup in the end zone.

Jackson is one of the bigger corners at 6-foot-3 and it shows when he's on the field. He's the type of guy that has the size and speed to go up against any receiver out there. We'll be keeping eye on him all week.

Jackson is currently slated to go on day three.

Jared Wiley, tight end, TCU

Another offensive player. The Lions have a stud in Sam LaPorta, but beyond him, there's questions about the rest of the guys and what they're able to do. Brock Wright will be a free agent this offseason. There's a good shot he's back. Zach Ertz probably won't be back and James Mitchell just doesn't seem like he's ever going to pop. TCU's Jared Wiley definitely popped on Tuesday.

That's not all Wiley did. He physically dominated anyone that he went up against with his tremendous size. Wiley measured in at 6-foot-6 and 25e pounds. You can see him just move off his man in the video here. He could be a solid second option for the Lions at tight end. He's currently projected to go on day three in the fifth or sixth round.

Lions announce they’ve signed 11 players to futures/reserves deals

The Detroit Lions season is over, but the fun of the offseason is already starting. The big news on Tuesday is that offensive coordinator Ben Johnson will be returning to the Lions, but that's not all that happened on Tuesday. The Lions also signed 11 players to futures deals.  For reference, a futures deal is […]
